What We Believe

At the heart of FaithWalk is a simple, unchanging foundation: the truth of God’s Word and the life-transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. While each weekend is unique, everything we do is rooted in these core beliefs that guide our teaching, shape our community, and point people toward a deeper relationship with Him.

These are the truths we hold to, the convictions we build on, and the message we seek to live out in everyday life.

About The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy, 3:16,17)

About God

We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (2 Corinthians 13:14, Romans 8:9)

About Jesus

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.  (John 1:1-3, Matthew 1:23, 1 Peter 2:22,1 Corinthians 15, 1 John 2:2, 1 Thes 4:16-17)

About Sin and Salvation

We believe all people are born in sin and are lost and sinful by their very nature. That the salvation of lost and sinful people is obtained only by God’s grace and through personal faith in the redemptive work Jesus accomplished on the cross with the shedding of His blood. Salvation is offered freely to all who place their faith in Jesus as their personal savior.  (Romans 5:8, Romans 10:17, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:13)

About Unity

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Galatians 3:28, Phil 2:2, Col 3:14)

About the Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 5:5)

About Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (Matthew 25:46)

About Marriage

We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin (Gen. 2:24-25; Ex. 20:14, 17, 22:19; Lev. 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16; Matt. 19:4-6, 9; Rom. 1:18-31; I Cor. 6:9-10, 15-20; I Tim. 1:8-11; Jude 7).  We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin (Gen.1:27; Deut. 22:5).
